REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2027 DATES

 Scotland

13 March: Sections 2, 3 & 1 

14 March: Sections 4, 4b & Championship

 The Scottish Championships, organised by the Scottish Brass Band Association and led by President Carrie Boax, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 March. 

Not only is this event being held at the stunning Perth Concert Hall, the Championship Section acts as the qualifying competition for the European Championships 2028! 

 Wales

13 March: Sections 4, 2 & 1 

14 March: Sections 3 & Championship

 The Welsh Regional Championships, organised by the Welsh Regional Council and led by Regional Secretary Philip Morris, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 March. 

Since 1956, most of the Welsh Regional Championships events have been held at the competition's "spiritual home" of the Brangwyn Hall. The winning band in the Championship Section will also qualify to represent Wales at the European Championships 2028! 

  West of England

14 March: Sections 4, 3 & 1 

15 March: Sections 2 & Championship 

 The West of England Regional Championships, organised by the West of England Brass Bands Association and led by Regional Secretary Sue Oldfield, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 March. 

Due to the large quantity of bands competing in this region, WEBBA has organised this event across two venues, and the whole weekend has a fantastic atmosphere - especially when the sun's out over the English Riviera!  

 London & Southern Counties  

20 March: Sections 3 & 1 

21 March: Sections 4, 2 & Championship

 The London & Southern Counties Regional Championships, organised by the London & Southern Counties Regional Committee and led by Regional Secretary Kevin Williams, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 March. 

Held at Stevenage's Arts & Leisure Centre for many years, the L&SC was our largest regional event in 2026 - with 76 bands competing across the five sections! 

 Midlands 

20 March: Sections 4 & 2 

21 March: Sections 3, 1 & Championship 

 The Midlands Regional Championships, organised by the Midlands Regional Committee and led by Regional Secretary Lesley Bentley, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 March. 

MABBC has recently returned to its long-standing home of Civic Hall, with the exciting addition of a new venue (United Church Theatre) for 2027!

 North of England 

20 March: Sections 4, 2 & 1 

21 March: Sections 3 & Championship

 The North of England Regional Championships, organised by the North of England Regional Committee and led by Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths, will take place over the weekend of Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 March. 

Being held at the Gala Theatre in Durham, bands and audience can look forward to a great atmosphere at a fantastic venue!
